A huge McKinney warehouse that once housed the national distribution operations for video rental firm Blockbuster has changed hands.

The former Blockbuster video distribution center near U.S. Highway 75 in McKinney has been owned for more than five years by investor Saskaway Group.

The 697,149-square-foot warehouse on Rosebud Boulevard once distributed videotapes and DVDs to Blockbuster stores around the country. For a time, Blockbuster had its headquarters in the 160,000-square-foot office building next door.

The property — now called Texas Crossing — is about 20 miles north of Dallas. The industrial complex was empty when Saskaway group bought the buildings from a lender.

Now the property has sold again — this time to a California investor. A unit of Fenway Capital Advisors with offices in Solana Beach, Calif., and Dallas has purchased the complex.

The acquisition was financed with a $47.85 million loan from Walton Street Capital, county records show.

The property houses operations for United Parcel Service, International Paper and Southwest Airlines.

Fenway is a private real estate investor with properties across the western U.S.
